Sableandlinenn Lounge & Poker Room

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sableandlinenn Lounge & Poker Room handles personal information through this website and during direct interactions with our physical venue at 18 Sable Lane, Barangaroo NSW 2000, Australia. It applies to hospitality, dining, mixology, venue enquiries and offline poker lounge services.

Effective date: 3 September 2026.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to people who visit our website, make an enquiry, request a table, attend dining or mixology experiences, enquire about private events, visit the poker lounge, or communicate with Sableandlinenn in another way. It applies whether personal information is provided through the website, by phone, by email, or in person at our physical Australian venue. It covers information handled in connection with offline poker requests and venue-based guest services, not a remote or online service.

Website visits and form submissions
Dining and table requests
Private dining and event enquiries
Poker lounge and tournament enquiries

We aim to collect only the information reasonably needed to deliver hospitality, consider and manage a request, communicate with guests, maintain venue operations, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not seek information unrelated to the service you have asked us to provide, and optional detail in a general enquiry remains your choice.

External services

This notice does not govern independently operated websites or services that may be reached through an external link. Those services have their own privacy practices. Please review their privacy notices before providing personal information directly to them.

02 / information collection

Personal information we may collect

The information we handle depends on how you choose to engage with Sableandlinenn and the venue service you request.

Identity and contact details
We may collect your name, phone number, email address, and other details you voluntarily provide when contacting us or making a request. These details may be used to respond to a reservation, enquiry, event discussion, or guest communication. In a general enquiry, you may choose how much optional context to provide; we only ask for information reasonably relevant to answering or progressing your request.
Reservation and attendance details
For a dining arrangement or poker table reservation, we may collect a requested date and time, guest count, service preferences, and booking notes. If you choose to provide accessibility or dietary information, we may use it to prepare for the requested visit. Not every request requires every category of information; details are collected where they help us organise physical venue hospitality and provide a considered guest experience.
Poker lounge and tournament request details
An offline poker table request or poker tournament expression of interest may include a preferred session, group size, participation notes, and communications needed to organise in-person seating. This relates to live felt tables, dealer-led poker action, and the physical card poker room. For poker tournaments, relevant details may support tournament chips, point awards, championship trophies, seating and event updates. We do not use this policy to describe online participation or financial play.
Website, device, and correspondence information
When you browse the website, submit a form, email us, or otherwise contact the venue, ordinary website interaction details and the content of communications may be collected. This can include browser or device information, pages visited, approximate interaction data, and form submissions generated through normal website operation. Correspondence may be retained to respond effectively and maintain an accurate record. Cookie-specific information is addressed in our separate Cookie Policy.

Venue services

Deliver and coordinate venue services

Personal information may be used to respond to enquiries, process and manage dining, private event, and poker table requests, prepare for a visit, and communicate practical details. This can include arrangements for pan-Asian gastronomy and mixology where requested, as well as access to the physical poker lounge and card poker room. Where relevant, we use booking information to coordinate an in-person, dealer-led experience at live felt tables and to make sure the requested venue service can be considered appropriately.

Venue programming

Operate poker tournaments and venue programming

Relevant request details may be used to organise attendance communications, seating planning, updates, and venue administration for poker tournaments and scheduled poker action. This supports the physical event experience for offline poker participants and guests. Where competition references are relevant, they concern tournament chips, point awards, and championship trophies. Information is used to help coordinate the venue programme and its in-person arrangements, rather than to support online participation or financial play.

Tournament references in this policy are non-monetary venue and event references only.

Records and care

Maintain communications, safety, and legal compliance

We may use information to answer questions, maintain appropriate venue records, protect people and systems, address concerns, prevent misuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Communications may include service-related replies and updates where appropriate to an existing reservation, enquiry, or visit. Any direct marketing communication is handled in accordance with applicable choices and law; hospitality coordination may still be necessary to manage the service you have requested.

04 / disclosure

Disclosure and service support

We handle personal information within the venue and disclose it only in limited circumstances connected with legitimate operational, legal, or safety needs.

Service providers supporting the venue

Personal information may be provided to carefully selected service providers where reasonably necessary for website operation, communications, reservation administration, or other venue-support functions. Providers are expected to handle information only for the relevant service and under appropriate confidentiality or privacy obligations where applicable. We do not name providers here because the services used may change, and this policy does not assume that every support provider is located in Australia.

Legal, safety, and business circumstances

We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or property, or in connection with an organisational transaction where information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy requirements. Any such disclosure is considered in context and is not intended as a routine sharing practice. This approach reflects the practical responsibilities of operating a physical hospitality venue.

No sale of personal information as a venue practice. Sableandlinenn does not sell personal information as part of its ordinary venue operations. This is a guest-facing statement about our normal practice and does not alter rights or obligations that may apply under privacy law.

05 / safeguards

Retention, security, and overseas handling

Our approach is designed to be practical, proportionate, and transparent about the limits of information handling.

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to meet legal obligations, resolve concerns, and maintain appropriate business records. We do not apply one fixed period to every type of information because the appropriate period depends on the request, record, and circumstances. When information is no longer required, it may be securely deleted or de-identified where appropriate.

Global service support

Overseas handling

Some service providers may store or process information outside Australia, depending on the service used. Overseas handling does not occur in every interaction, and we do not list countries because provider arrangements may change. When engaging providers, Sableandlinenn will take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to support responsible handling of personal information.

Your privacy choices and rights

You can contact us about personal information we hold, your communications, or a concern about the way information has been handled.

Access and correction

You may request access to personal information held about you and ask for correction where you believe it is inaccurate, incomplete, irrelevant, or out of date, subject to applicable law. Please provide enough detail for us to identify the request and the information concerned. Before responding, we may need to reasonably verify your identity. Access may not be immediate or unrestricted where a legal reason applies, but we will consider each request carefully.

Communication preferences

You can ask not to receive future direct marketing communications where you receive them. Service-related messages about an existing reservation, enquiry, or visit may still be necessary so that we can coordinate the hospitality service you requested. We distinguish practical venue communication from marketing and handle communication preferences in accordance with applicable choices and law.

A request about communications can be included in the same privacy email described below.

Privacy complaints

You may raise a privacy concern with Sableandlinenn. Please explain the concern and provide relevant contact details so that we can understand the matter and respond. We will consider the concern and reply within a reasonable period, taking account of the nature of the request and applicable law. We aim to address questions respectfully and to seek a practical resolution where possible.

How to make a request

For an access, correction, communication preference, or complaint request, email [email protected]. Please include “Privacy request” in the subject line and enough context for us to identify the matter.

07 / policy updates

Changes to this policy

Sableandlinenn may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. A revised version will be published on this page with the effective date shown at the top. The effective date for this version is 3 September 2026. If you want to remain informed about how we handle personal information, please review this policy periodically, particularly before making a new venue request or providing updated details.
